It all depends upon what the age difference and what stage of life you are currently in.

For instance, a three years age difference is substantial at a young age. An 18 year-old man should not be dating a 15 year-old girl for the most part. The level of maturity between the ages is just way too much.

However, three years age difference means nothing if two people are in their 20s.

Even a 15 years age difference means little if the younger person is into his/her 30s.

As far as how much older to date if both people are of the age of consent, that is a personal choice, no right or wrong to it, ignore others who try to tell you otherwise.

I would advise a woman who is considering bringing a child into the world, not to date a guy who may not be in the best of health to raise a child or not be on earth long after the child approaches adulthood.

It only matters when one of the couples is under 18 because of the whole "your a pedofile" thing. After 18, no one cares about age if your truely in love. I mean look at hue hefner, he's like in his 80's and bangs girls in their 20's. Need I say more?

hehe I don't know about 10 years older but I dated a guy 7 years older than me...It just weird when I saw he acted like a little kid and try to be fit with me. I thought he's old and act mature but it wasn't.

Older guys have more money to spend on you rather than a broke ass 19 year old.

age is just a number. it really shouldn't matter if you love each other. i personally would probably only date someone 3 years at most older than me but that's because i'm only 15. don't go around dating guys that are so much older than you that it's illegal.

Dating older is OK, but I wouldn't think it works out in the long run - it depends what you are after. I go after older women because they are good at sex. I was a teen when I had an older woman the first time and it was the best, but that was all I wanted was the sex. If you want a relationship then you are better off with someone close to your own age. But thats just me.
