MY collegue jos is 32 and makes farting sounds with his ear when he is very concentrated on the work he is doing. Then he says "hey did you fart?"

That is f***ing hilarious! How do you keep from busting up laughing? And no, I don't think that is normal. Point it out to him, he may not even realize what he is doing.
