I have to say that everyone I know who plays world of warcraft has no life. There are some guys in my calc class who play world of warcraft, they used to sit in the back of the class and talk about world of warcraft. Then they failed the first exam, now they sit in the front.

Na, I've never played it. There are plenty of other good games out there that I can play and not have to pay $15 a month. I still don't see anything wrong with it though, if they're willing to pay. People still have lives, even if they do base much of it upon a game.

i play WoW... but i am also a very active person.

i play maybe an hour and a half on school days, and up to 4 hours on weekends when i have some more time on my hands.

I hate world of war craft!!! i used to play conquer online, with my bf when i was younger like 3 years ago or sum thing. Then he switched o W.W, which completely decimated our relationship for about 1 year. WoW seems to completely take over people's lives, he used to get up at like 4 to do raids with his guild and stuff! WOW = rubbish if you take it too seriously.

All MMORPGs have the same result. They are all very addicting, I know this first hand. I play both Evercrack(Everquest) and World of Warcrack(World of Wacraft)...MMORPGs give a feeling euphoria while you play them. They contain an addictive trait that no other game can really match. And, simply because one plays WoW or EQ...it does not make them a loser. Hell...I play WoW, but I have a job...I play soccer...I play football...I have a social life....

i used to be addicted to world of warcrack (my nickname for that s#it game) then my friends told me to make a myspace. They also told me to go on AIM more often. After that they told me to meet em to do stuff actually social. Then to finally break the addiction of it my best friend whose a girl told me that she wanted to go out some time. They all told me they it was an intervention. Afterwards i thought my new GF would leave me but she was serious. Anyway, THAT is pretty much the only way to break the addiction.

I was just at one of my best freind' houses today, and he was glued to his computer playing WoW. It was the boringest thing ever. And even worse is that he can never just play a game properly. He joined a private server that his friend owns, and he gets a bunch of free shit.

I'm a nerd myself. I work for my school. I am very much into Web Page design and that sort of stuff. Hell, my school even pays me for it, but at least I have a life. I go out with friends somewhat regularly. I have a girlfriend who i am obsessed with. I have a life.

Not to say that online gaming or any type of video games are bad. I have a Gamecube (I'm waiting for pre-modded Wiis to be available) and a PS2. When I'm bored and stuck home "babysitting" my sister and theres nothing to talk about with my friends over AIM, sure I play those. And I also play Call of Duty 2 sometimes with my freinds either via the internet or private networks.

I am 100% against MMOs because, they don't even feel like games, they feel more like chores. Sure, its exciting for the first few days; you're leveling up quick and discovering lots of "cool" stuff. But then as leveling starts to take longer, and Quests/Enemys become repetitive (the NPC enemies in WoW are insanely repetitive) it gets boring. The biggest case of this is Runescape. Because in Runescape to earn good money, you cant do anything fun. You either have to mine, woodcut, or fish (for non-paying members anyway). I would know, I had a level 72 Woodcutter. But it got boring as fuck, and I quit.

Ok, so anyway, WoW is for lamers. Kidnap your friends and lock them in a room with some sleasy girls. Hopefully its not too late and you'll be able to convert them back to normal people.

i think world of warcraft is good but i can't handle those losers doin nothing else.

My friends and I love WoW. We play often and have been guilty of having an all night gaming session or two, but we balance it out with other hobbies as well. Granted none of us are athletic... WoW doesn't run our lives. One of my friends is a great artist (got a scholarship for it) and another that makes the costumes for her collages drama department.
So, is it normal to play a lot of World or Warcraft? Yes. Is it normal to fail a class because of it? No. I would say keep the Warcraft, but log off and do something else every now and then.

Totally normal to want to kill you "World of Warcraft" house mates... and why stop there? End the bluddy game.
