Cannot Kick The Habit
After weeks of trying I still cannot kick my bad habit, my wife is getting sick of me because she is an animal lover.
Whilst I do not dislike animals in any way and have several pets, I have always throughout my days gone out shooting and rabbiting etc to 'kill for the pot'.
Well the Mrs is sick of me hanging up animals in the garage and says she cant take the sight of them any more. Should I refrain from doing what has always been my leisure and please or should I just hang the wife ?
Yeah get a clue, stop it! you know its wrong and you should do it before she reports you to some authority for the treatment of these animals. It ain't nice, I please ask you to stop immediately, or go see a doc.
Im not killing for the sake of it, Im killing to provide a meal, the taste of the wild animal beats anything in the shops !!!
The only way I can understand you shooting a rabbit or other wild animal is for survival. Like if you're lost in the woods or something, but thats about it.
To mightoftheMasses: I know it may be better to eat the rabbits from the wild but animals are suffering enough in this world, so please dont shoot them! Other than that, i think it should be illegal to shoot them.
that right there is proof enough that he shouldn't do it. He never mentioned once that the animals were suffering so that he was justified for shooting them. I mean yeah, he could shoot them occasionally and i'm glad he does eat it, but he constantly has them hanging in his garage. He doesn't need to continually have them hanging there. Once in a while is good but not constantly.
Yes it is a humane way to kill them but all the time, no. Hunting in my view is not to kill evry bambi aor jackrabbit out there, it should be used sparingly.
In my view you said that they are suffering enough so we might as well end their misery by shooting them. Well to kill them even more is going to ruin the environment especially in the food chains. Cause remember, all the organisms living there depend on a sourrce of food and if we take one source out, the chain or food web may be disrupted so by shooting them even more is not the answer! It is mean also to shoot them continuously like that! I mean humans need boundaries and currently our boundaries toward the environment aren't good and need to protect animals more!
I dont see why you wouldn't mind letting this guy kill the rabbits like this, its over hunting to me. Remember you're right hunting is good occasionally. so in the future when we overpopulate, what, do you want us to start killing excess humans because they are suffering too?
But at least he is doing it for food. And a hawk or eagle may just as well have ripped them open alive. Nature can really suck, so it is really rocking up here at the top of the food chain.
Thanks almighty God I don't know you. And the explanation is simple: I don't go to gay bars, that is why.
So, STFU, gay!
at least come up with a valid insult.
Now you talk of gay bars and such forth, get a grip chaps !!!
At the weekend I shot 3 pheasants and two rabbits, they are in the pot today and I cant wait to eat them.
cuz I mean . . . I don't think much of hunting, but you're not doing it cuz you're a sadistic bastard, you're doing it cuz the taste of freshly hunted meat can't be beat (which IS a valid point) but then again your wife doesn't like it . . . maybe if you hung them somewhere else like if you have a shed or something then the wife won't find out although never mind she will if you cook them and all that . . .
here's my best offer: if you have a local friend, go hunt with him occasionally and eat at his house and have a boy's night out or what not. Your wife will be happier, and you can still get the taste of home-shot, home-cooked meal. If this won't work . . . try to compromise with your wife.
