I still don't see why you have a problem with shooting things. It is a humane way to kill them, sometimes they need to be killed, and they taste good. If I shoot something you better believe I'll eat it, that's the purpose. And again, if they're suffering enough why not end their suffering?

that right there is proof enough that he shouldn't do it. He never mentioned once that the animals were suffering so that he was justified for shooting them. I mean yeah, he could shoot them occasionally and i'm glad he does eat it, but he constantly has them hanging in his garage. He doesn't need to continually have them hanging there. Once in a while is good but not constantly.

Ok, last comment for me. Yes, we should sterilize stupid people to decrease the excess population. I only said we should shoot them to end their suffering because you kept saying that they were suffering already. Legal hunting does not remove enough animals from the environment to disrupt the food chain in any way, or at least that's the way it works where I come from.

I feel bad for the animals, I really do. And I think that dying because a metal bulled ripped through your insides must be painful and inhumane.
But at least he is doing it for food. And a hawk or eagle may just as well have ripped them open alive. Nature can really suck, so it is really rocking up here at the top of the food chain.

Roger, I took many classes dealing with the environment and by shooting some animals, does kill the populations. i said they were suffering enough because of mans actions to the environment. So you think by shooting them constantly is going to help? No it wont . We should all pitch in and save the environment one way or the other and by shooting the rabbits and deer etc...is not helping.

I don't think much of hunting, but you're not doing it cuz you're a sadistic bastard, you're doing it cuz the taste of freshly hunted meat can't be beat (which IS a valid point) but then again your wife doesn't like it . . . maybe if you hung them somewhere else like if you have a shed or something then the wife won't find out although never mind she will if you cook them and all that . . .
here's my best offer: if you have a local friend, go hunt with him occasionally and eat at his house and have a boy's night out or what not. Your wife will be happier, and you can still get the taste of home-shot, home-cooked meal. If this won't work . . . try to compromise with your wife.
