I still havn't started my period and im 13 all my friends have is there something wrong with me. My mum said it was a genetic thing but she started when she was 16. Do u think i'll be the same?

Ages 10-15 is the range for girls. For boys going through puberty, it is ages 12-18. So, it seems nothing to be concerned about. Your age is a very hard time for many because of the wide differences in physical maturity of piers. You can see a doctor but I'd bet anything they will only tell you to quit worrying and be patient.

My aunt started her's at 8 or 9, I find that abnormal and I think it has something to do with what we eat. If your mother said it's a genetic problem, it probably is, it's not abnormal.

My mother's sister had to take a pill to get her's started or she'd been very sick, so just make sure you actually start, one good fortelling sign is that you'll get really bad cases of acne before you do it, and you might get seriously bitchy, due to hormones.

i think if u haqve a mum with the same problem , it is a high chance u r NORMAL ......the worse thing u can do is to WORRY and Stress can actually stop ya periods also .

My mom got it when she was 11 (I got it at 13)...and for the above who said their aunt started at 8 or 9, I mean sweet jesus! Enjoy childhood while you can young one!
