My sister and I have a weird problem. We will occasionally have single, loud intakes of air which my husband refers to as "terydactle burps." At any one time only one or two occur. They are something like a cross between a hiccup and a burp or a single loud hiccup. They are high pitch and get higher; they sound almost like a pig squeal. Sometimes they are so loud they kind of hurt my throat and my ears. Is this normal?
I know exactly howz feel, my mates also get a good laugh out of it and it is sometimes painful. Any idea what it is and how to stop it?
