Yeah i hear you on this one. I had braces on for what seemed like an eternity and the date to get them taken off always was getting pushed back. My teeth looked fine and all but my bite was a tiny bit messed up. I eventually just told the dr to take em off. It was the best decision ive ever made

 Don't worry, Braces aren't forever!
Also, it takes awhile for your teeth to get straight.
and either way, you might not have them on for two years.

Dad' LOL! My sister had them for 4 years. I just got mine about 3 weeks ago, they absolutely kill on the first and second day, so just try and eat porrigde or something. After about a week you can eat pretty normally. I had these bits of cement placed on my back teeth or make my jaw used to a new position. So I cant munch well but otherwise they'll be a pain at first, have some paracetemol ready

I think you were meant to wear a "retainer" for a few months to make sure they stay in place.

It depends on what type of braces you need, and where they are placed on the teeth.
If you do get pain, you'll more than likely get used to it after about a fortnight or so, and soon enough, they'll become second nature to you, especially if you have them on for as long as i have.

I had braces for over two years, except my teeth were already pretty straight, the reason I had braces was to fix my jaw. Except now my jaw is going out, so I'm kind of pissed.

I had braces of for more than three years ...
It takes more time to shift the teeth around when they are crowded.

They weren't crewkard at all really. The main problem was that 2 teeth didn't have enough room to come down
