Today's teens

Most teenagers tend to be naturally stupid and don't do anything to combat it because it lets them fit in with all their think peers. Apparently intelligence is a sign of weakness these days.

I worked in the public city school system and found most children come from broken families that are frequently dysfunctional. With a missing support structure from their guardians/parents, the kids put forth less effort than in the past and have become indifferent about academic progress. It is not the children per say who are to blame, but rather their parents who are more often disgraceful, pathetic role models. Children tend to emulate what they see.

On top of that, many children find it appealing to be illiterate, thanks to the insidious rap culture/hip hop movement, hence, you see a new generation of kids who deliberately misspell words.

Have faith in our children, they are merely manifestations of powerful negative forces within society that have deteriorated to an unfortunate low.

I'm not dumb, nor am I a tart.

But thanks to the no child left behind act.. schools are lowering their standards so that it is possible for more magority of the students to pass. Bush is a jerk and ruining the future of this economy.

The worst thing that ever happened was when welfare agencies told parents and teachers they could not discipline the kids. They heave no concept of their actions and consequences and the school standards have dropped. But teen girls are so hot I would like one

It's about going with the crowd. We all want to fit in and be eccepted. It doeshave to do with the parents to a point but... I was from a "Broken home" and everythig else and I turnd out fine. We are spoiled brats, simple as that. Everything is handed to us and worst people drop the standerds to let us pass. I got lucky because BC jsut started a newgrad rogram and know I wouldn;t be able to pass it.but in the end we have to blame ourself for not working for not steping up and doing what we should have ourself.

soiciety has always had problems the fiftys were not better then it is now dont you remember segrigation from history class. the 60-70s werent better either there were plenty of problems 80-90s had problems to and we have problems now. i must say have you been to evey school in the country or just one. because not every school is the same if any thing the schools have gotten worse school has been extended and standards are higher believe it or not i once met an old teacher that told me when he was in schoo it was a lot easier but i also researched it as well. i must agree with the whole conformast group thing however but to sy student are geting dumber if you could go back in time the student would have been just as dumb then as they are to day. i think you are an older man who only belives that statement to make youre self feel superior to others. you are not better than anybody else you will die just like every one else and when youy die there will be no pockets in the kadabra tux youle wear in the coffin.

also i agree with the statement that teens now grow up in broken familys. ive been on my own since i was 17 im 18 now my mother father had a one night stand and here i am so i say the older generation is the truely stupid ones.

ive seen way more lazy middle aged men than young people ive seen so many alcohlic losers liveing by well fare who are all mid aged. i hate hearing mid aged people say how much more responsible they are then the young generation i for one am 18 yrs old work go to high school work 48 hrs and a lot of the time do overtime at my job in a group home also i do live on my own. so ose mid aged men who dont even hold down a job should shut the fuck up im just as and probably more responsible tha any mid aged man.

People have always been down on the generation after them, right back to Pluto. This is just something which happens over and over again. A generation disappoints its parents... then they become parents... then their offspring disappoint them. It happens.

The whole world is screwed up. Nothing's perfect. Humans (not all) are lazy. Period.

I think there are alot of things that are causing our society to be the way it is!

I think that taking spnking out of schools was one big reason for kids acting the way they are. Medication seems like half the kids in class are on meds. Paxil, rriatalin,etc. I thnk that there is also a new sex revelution going on...frinds with benefits...
