No, but it is normal to be a pretentious nerd. I've never actually seen a poem in iambic octameter, and I suspect that neither have you. Two differences, however:

1./ I know what iambic octameter means. I doubt that you do.

2./ I can spell the word 'writing'.

Please stop being so pretentious and work on the intelligence that you do have...
