no boy to like and no boy likes me

i'm 22, never had a real boyfriend and am still a virgin... i don't mind this so much, but i do mind that i dont see the possibility of getting a boyfriend anytime soon. i have lots of friends and am usually known as the wacky funny kid. i don't know if this turns guys off or what. I don't crush on guys very often, so I never flirt. is it normal to not have had a boyfriend? to not like a lot of boys?

I would take a wild guess that you find intimacy a threat and have suppressed your feelings to be close to someone. As a defense mechanism, you adopt a "wacky" role which is a turn off to most guys. Guys will likely distance themselves from girls who appear this way.

You mention nothing about having an attraction to females, so perhaps you just have a low sex drive. If you don't have any feelings of sexual arousal, from either guys or girls, you are best to speak to a doctor. I know medication can affect libido in a negative way.

If you have a close friend, you can share your thoughts with them and ask for their opinion. I obviously do not know you, only can give you my perspective after reading your short story.

It is also common for many young women not to have dated nor to have had sex into their early 20s. Concern yourself as to why you have not dated. Sex comes after you date and find someone compatible, so don't worry about the sex part.

Thanks for the advice. I think I rely on the wacky, fun personality thing as a mean to be liked. And it usually works out, but I think maybe you do have a point and it does help me avoid intimacy. I rely on the same people I did in high school for my biggest problems, instead of opening up to new people.

I've always found the wacky fun girls attractive, they're just more fun. And as far as flirting goes, why do you even have to be attracted to the person? I flirt with just about anything with two X chromosomes, and sometimes I'll look back and say what the hell was I doing with her? You should just loosen up a bit and meet some people.
