am i selfish?
i want my boyfriend to quit smoking. im thinking along the future with him. weve been together for nearly 3 years now and i want to marry him. i want to have kids but i dont want my husband to be a smoker. he quit for me but he started again and he seems to have made his mind up to continue smoking whether i like it or not. am i selfish and crazy for thinking these thoughts? he knows how i feel about it but he tries to be a f**king smartass and ask "are you gonna stop be from driving cause i might die in an accident?" when he clearly knows its not the f**king same. i want him to live a long life with me. i want him to be healthy..because i love him. any girls know a good way to get your boyfriend to quit smoking? thanks.

We wanted my dad to quit smoking, we ended up buying him a car if he did and he did quit for about 6 months. But he started again and now we're selling the car. If you dont want to lose him the i would sujest you try your best not to fight about it if you can. Show him the dangers, use examples of things that can happen to a smoker. Smoking is the main reason people get cancer. Also as for his come back on the car crash, a non smoker stands a much higher chance of surving an accident.

He should stop for you, or else you should seriously question his devotion before marriage. Emphasize the risks he is exposing you to, as well as your future kids should you chose to have some. Tell him it smells bad, it stinks up the house, but gently and without malice. If he leaves you for ciggarettes it wasn't meant to be.

oh, poking little holes with a small needle at the base of every ciggarette drove my mom crazy because she couldnt smoke them without tearing out the filter (which is much worse for you)
