its complex this way- but is it the best way?

i like this lad who is 6months younger than i am, age obviously isnt the problem.
we like eachother, he told me he loves me after i declined his offer for a relationship, my reasons being i have been out with him before as i asked him out but i also dumped him.
he still likes me but i dont know if i can trust myself no to hurt him- i wouldnt hurt him on purpose.
im just wondering what to do.
i tried to be with him once cos i liked him but then i dump him, about a year on he tells me he loves me and now im just really stuck lol.
what do u guys think x
Do you think it's normal?

Do what you feel. Hurt is unavoidable in life and he seems to be pretty understanding if he says he loves you after you dumped him. So I say go for it.
If it didnt work the first time its not gonna work a second time simple
I would give it another shot. Now you are aware of your fear of hurting him, so it causes you to act in his best interests and in turn not hurt him again. If he really loves you, you're hurting him by NOT going out with him.
Yeah I agree with NevermindMe because I myself get hurt like that!
