Is it Herpes?
Hello,
First, thank you for the great job you are doing.
About one month ago, I noticed a couple of small hard bumps (not white heads) on the inside of my left major labia (they did not appear all at once, but over a couple of weeks intervals). They did not hurt and they were dry (no watery blisters like herpes). They went away in a couple of days.
About two weeks ago, another very big bump (kind of gray) on the other side of my labia appeared. This was very painful. I could hardly sit or walk. It was not a sore, just a hard pimple. After a couple of days, it evolved by bleeding (not white head), it hurt a lot, but in a day, it started becoming smaller and painless.
I want to mention that, these bumps appeared after I had skin-to-skin contact with my boyfriend (I am a virgin) and after I started shaving and waxing in the genital area (both events happened in the same time). I also got a Brazilian waxing at a salon just a few weeks before these pimples appeared.
I told my boyfriend about these symptoms and he got screened for a couple of STI’s. His tests came positive for both Herpes 1 and 2. I am desperate!!! Please help me and let me know if what I had is Herpes or just sebaceous cysts or another STI! This week I went to see a doctor and got tested for Herpes (I am still waiting for the results). The doctor that if I had chicken pox when I was little, the test for Herpes could come out positive, although I might not have Herpes. I really do not remember if I had when I was a child. Would you please let me know any tests that can distinguish between Herpes 1 & 2 and chicken pox virus (which I read is Herpes 3 virus). Also could you please inform me of how to find a clinic in my area that offers free screening for all STI’s (the place where I went to charged me a lot just for Herpes)?
I am anxiously awaiting your answer. Thank you in advance for your time and keep up the good work!

You might want to rethink continuing contact with your BF. I'm guessing you didn't question him about his sexual past before you became intimate with him? I hope you get help. I've been with my BF for almost 5 years and I still get checked twice a year.

Ask your parents if you had the chicken pox, they should would remember if you had them.
You are more lucky than you realize.
If he's so into the "adventurous" type, he's more than likely going to end up with a very diseased dick and would have no problem passing it on to you.
It's good to hear you don't have anything, but please take this lesson to heart and keep a lookout for yourself by using good protection or abstaining until you can verify your partner is disease free.
