I am sure this is quite normal in some churches. But I would leave them in their self-chosen stupidity. You will be in a lot of trouble once you open yourself to this kind of intimidation.

I think I almost killed myself as a teenager. I don't remember too much about it because I did alot of drugs then. I was on the top of a 20 story building where a bunch of kids hung out. I think I might have been thinking of jumping because I took all my ID and put them in a pile on the floor. All I remember is being arrested later for vagrancy because I had no money or ID. I remember in jail feeling like I was on an elevator going to hell. I didn't have any shoes but there was a pair of sandels outside the cell and somehow I felt like they were mine. It was pretty weird. When I woke up after a little sleep the 20 or so guys in the drunk tank with me all had their arms crossed over their chests. This was 30 years ago.

Yeah, about a year ago I was in a church for the first in my life. I was there to attend the baptism of my friend's child. As I was sitting there thinking about how I didn't belong in that setting, the priest just looked at me and made some crazy remark about "the devil walks among us". I think it's all just another way to fuck with the new guy.

It's kind of like people who have alien abduction experiences. Probably better to ignore it rather than let it take over your life.

And I thought I was labeled the evil one! Ironic eh? Main stream churches of society are just as capable of judging and hypocrisy. I think most of them, not all, do it for their own boost. It’s just another tactic for control! When you think about it, there are so many similarities between cults and churches, religions and philosophies. Don’t get me wrong, there are vast differences too! Uh, you weren’t dressed in dark clothes or gothic were you? That’s how I got my label back in high school. I even protested wearing all white one week and they still accused me of wearing all black! Express your own spirituality in your won setting!
