I don't believe in a god either.

I believe in Science ;p because it can be proven. Unless a "god" is proven to meeh...in wutever way possible, then I will believe in one.

I do not "belive" in god either, although I am not quite sure if I believe in god or not.

I'm the same way too. I hate when people constantly say, god is real because i know they can't prove it. I realize that I cannot prove that god doesn't exist. I believe in all the science we have available. You know, one day we might just figure out that question of our creation and I believe scientists will figure out that a spiritual being did not create earth.

But I take issue with your reasoning - a drop of water does not 'prove' the ocean anymore than the ocean itself 'proves' that there is an even bigger expanse of water that the ocean came from. If God is 'proved' by the greatness of Man, then the greatness of God could in turn 'prove' an even higher God, one who made God and who God worships. You see where I'm going with this?

I did like your argument, very pretty and well-structured, but I'm afraid it is rather too delicate to stand up to serious thought. If you'd like to message me, I'd love to debate the existence of God with you - it's an issue that I take great interest in.

By the way, I refuse to label myself an 'atheist' - if I choose to 'believe' that God does not exist, when such a statement cannot be proven, then I am using my 'faith'. And if I have 'faith', then how can I effectively argue with another on the grounds of their faith?

To the original poster, whether you eventually choose to believe or disbelieve in God, or even suspend belief like me, DON'T do it just to fit in - I can't see any God wanting to be worshipped just because it's 'normal' or because 'everyone does it' - that's no grounds for faith at all. I find your reasoning very articulate and even cool; because you have an open mind about what actually may be "out there" and you sound like a smart dude.
I like to debate this subject as well, and you seem like a person that can actually do this from a neutral point of view.

All you said in your last post, I have thought about too. But there is just one thing that doesnt quite fit.

The endless Universe, there cant be an end to it if you think about it, there is no such thing as the end of the Universe. Because if you get to the end, you can always go farther.

This endless Universe is full of stars that are like our Son, whos light have encouraged life on this planet. It is kind of weird to think we are the only planet with life in the Universe...

Ok so we evolved from monkeys, imagine if mankind survives, and in a couple of million years how we are going to evolve into a more intelligent being, lets call it "future-humanoid".
The "future-humanoids" (or any higher being) would look at humans the same as we look at monkeys, and would have a better understanding of the Universe than humans, the same way we have a better understanding than monkeys.

This being said, how can a human mind in this precarious form understand the mystery of the Universe?
The answer is we cannot, we as humans are not destined to understand what the Universe and infinity is, like eternal in time.
That is the reason we created the Word "God", in order to put into a word, the definition of the auto-generated Universe that was never generated because it has always existed.

Like the Macro-Cosmos Im talking about, there is also Micro-Cosmos (each one of us). Meaning all the mysteries of the Universe are represented in our souls.
Is the way we explain life, the life within us, that energy that keep us alive and our heart beating, is our Soul.

Our souls (Micro-Cosmos) are eternal, like the Universe (Macro-Cosmos). And we are set upon this material realm, in order to manifest this energy into a temporary matter.

This doesnt change the fact that life is created with the help of Light, not darkness. Because in the darkness of the Universe, where there is no Sun, there is also no life.

So how do we explain this? Human invented the word "God", in order to put into our precary words the Mystery that we cannot understand. But this doesnt mean that this mystery doesnt exist, the mystery that makes us alive, and many Masters have come to this Realm to teach us.

Nothing changes the fact that there is Light or Darkness, there is Life or Death, there is Love or Hate; there is the good mentality or the bad mentality, destruction or creation.

We can choose the good mentality, performing good deeds, having good thoughts and speaking good words; by this, we generate Light (therefore the term "Enlightened"), Love, Creation, Life.
Or we choose the bad mentality, generating Darkness, Hate, Destruction, Death.

This mystery, we call it God and the Devil.

i think God is real, and everything in the bible is real...however..you have to understand that this was an extremely long time ago, so you can never take everything in the bible seriously...long ago, the people did not have all this high tech stuff we do now a days, so they tried to explain things the way they saw them happen...for example,. in the last book of the bible they explain a mountain crashing into the sea...most likely a meteor/astroid. and they explained it as a mountain on fire...

Ya it's normal not to believe in god, but ur gonna rot in hell for it. I believe there is a god. I can't prove there is one but look at it this way. Science changes it's theories all the time, like they say the earth is flat b4, but now it's round. Whats true today, could be false tomorrow in science. Christianity has existed, and has not been changed, for about 2007 years now. It's a lot easier living with god in ur life than if you don't. Atheism is pointless cuz it makes life suck thinking you just have 76 years and thats it, 40 good years at best.
