When i'm tired, and i'm at home, i often pee sitting down. Basically i'm just lazy, and i want to be able to sit down and relax without having to pay attention to where i'm peeing...

I lmost always pee sitting down, keeps the water from splashing all over the place and even if you cant see it it is doing it. So, especially at home I sit and pee

You are what the uber-cosmopolitan Germans refer to as a "sitzspritzer". Not a complimentary descriptive word, commonly used to describe a soft, lazy man. But there are a lot of those in the world, so who's to say its not normal?

Bodily excretion is a very important part of most peoples' life (subconsciencely). If it makes you more confortable, then go for it.

In a public restroom where urinals are available I will always use those. But at home I almost always sit; I find the pee spatter on the bowl and perhaps elsewhere such as my pants, shoes, or floor isn't worth the cleanup afterwards and I end up feeling more of a slob if I don't get everything in the bowl... it's not worth the hassle and I just prefer to sit at home.

When I was about 10 I was feeling weak one day when I was sick and sat down to pee. I've done it on a few other occasions over my life. I find that usually when I poop I pee at the same time while I'm still sitting. It seems I pee after I poop more often than the other way around. These days I keep a bunch of books in my bathroom and like to take a few minutes to read over them when I go, I find that this leads me to sit down just to pee more often than I used to.

Yeah, I think it qualifies as pretty normal.

I don't understand why most of us men pee while standing up.. Its disgusting. Pee splats all over the place and makes a disgusting mess. I completely agree with this being normal, especially in the middle of the night (you don't have to turn on the light!)

When male dogs piss they hike their legs. That's one example of nature showing the difference in male and female. I stand when I piss, unlike you I don't have some repressed fear of my mom, for pissing all over the seat. Urine although foul is sterile, plus just cause you piss sitting down doesn't mean your toilet is cleaner than mine. SO DEFINITELY GUYS WHO SIT WHILE THEY PISS IS LIKE THE FEMALE DOG THAT SQUATS WHEN SHE PISSES AND THAT'S THAT.

i pee seating down especially when I go during the middle of the night.No aiming and no worry about peeing all over the floor while half asleep.just makes sense.

I do it to keep from pissing on the floor. It is also another opportuntiy to read - so the sit-pee posture should be considered intellectual. Women also appreciate it since the seat is down so they don't fall in.

ya thats tottaly normal i pee standing up but i know lots of guys who pee sitting down i dont know how i know that its actually kind of weird that i do but ya ur not weird

i love sitting down to piss, it's great when you have to get up early in the morning, you can just sit there and piss and fall asleep on the john.

It beats standing up because you don't have to steady yourself and you don't have to aim. When you've had a few beers it can go anywhere. Also you can do other things at the same time, like read a book, comb your hair or have a shave ! Saves time in the morning when you're getting ready for work.
