I am so sick and tired of hearing about smoking. Us smokers are shamed uponed because we enjoy a puff. We cant smoke anywhere anymore and if you do people look or they say stuff to you. I can understand about passive smoking and I do think it is great how you cant smoke in a restaurant and other locations, but when you cant smoke even in an outdoor area that sucks. You dont tell fat people how their eating habits are going to kill them cause that would be rude. I think people should leave us smokers alone and worry about your own f**ked up problems. Anyone else agree?
It's mostly because of the health issues that derive from smoking that society frowns upon it.
I smoke too. Big deal.
If you don't smoke into my face, enjoy it by all means. But seriously, to all smokers out there, it's kind of annoying.
that thing about the guy who represented the smoking company, then something about him being kidnapped, somone putting alot of nicotine patches on, doctor saying "smoking saved ur life" etc
All i have to do is walk down the road and i can smell cigg smoke from people driveing past in there cars.
xx
I don't smoke because it smells like shit, it turns your teeth yellow, it promotes wrinkles... blah blah you have heard it before. I like the way I look. If other people dont care about the way they look or their health so be it. I say, smoking outside is annoying but within the smoker's rights.
Smoking in a building is like farting in an elevator 5x... they shouild make that illegal too.
(1) The odor of cigarette smoke permeates any kind of fabric when smoking is done indoors. This is why many landlords and hoteliers will not permit smokers to rent/room in their places.
(2) Anyone who has ever kissed a smoker knows that the taste and smell is nauseating, unless you are a smoker as well.
(3) Many smokers cause serious accidents. For example, they fall asleep while smoking and set clothing and/or furniture on fire -- my mother did this many times; she also accidentally burned my two-year old daughter while she was babysitting.
(4) There is absolutely NO doubt that smoking has a causal relationship with many lung diseases including cancer, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, etc. Second-hand smoke, if nothing else, also causes other people's clothing and other belongings to reek, and particularly with the very young or immune compromised, it restricts the availability of healthy air.
So if you wish to smoke, rest assured that I will not try to stop you. In turn, I ask that you not try to stop ME from exercising my right to object to smoking and all of the ills that it causes.
