Is It Normal?
What do you think?
Pregnancy Phobia
My wife is 8 months pregnant and she always wants me to touch her belly to feel the baby kick. I do, to be nice, but it really freaks me out. I'm so looking forward to having the baby. It's quite exciting. I guess the pregnancy part is the problem. Sex is completely out the question, too. I know that birth is so beautiful, blah blah blah, but is it normal to be so weirded out by it?

It's even more weird to be having sex, and feel the baby kick.

You are not the only male to feel this way. Try talking about it to your wife. Also, be patient, it is not going to be that long before the baby is born.

It is normal. It is a rather Disgusting and horid body function. All I think aboot is those Turtle Egg laying episodes on the nature shows. You are sick.

I am a female and completely and utterly freaked out by pregnancy. I will never have children, because all it reminds me of is a tape worm....something alive and growing inside of, and eating up all my nutrients. I hate children as well....freaking parasites.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's normal. A lot of people (it seems more males than females) are weirded out by pregnancy.

Completely normal. There is a living thing, incubating and growing inside of your wife! Go watch the Aliens movies if you want to be even more weirded out by the whole thing.
Hey, it IS sort of weird. There's a baby inside your wife, a new little person, and you're half responsible for it. :P

If it freaks you out, maybe you should try talking it over with her. There's no telling how she'll react, especially with her hormones flying rampant, but just explain it to her the way you told us -- that you love the baby and you're excited for it, and you love your wife just as much, but it just freaks you out when you feel it kick. You can't help the way you feel, after all.
