god and virgina tech
i dont believe in a god or gods.but i know many of you do.so why didnt your god(whichever one you worship)stop the massacre at virgina tech? what would it have taken for a being who supposedly created all time space and matter to have stopped some pimpled faced loser from killing 32 people?
that is why i hate religion----it makes all kinds of mealy mouthed promises but is impotent to have any impact whatsoever on this planet.
why doesnt God Jesus Buddha Mohammad Krishna or any of the other hundreds of gods that are out ever stop any of this bad stuff from happening?
if a god wont protect innocent people what good does it do to believe in it?
and if a god existed but simply refused to help innocent people why does he deserve your worship?
God knew what this guy was going to do! But I think you need to read the book of Job!
God doesn't do things like what happened at Virginia Tech....that's Satan and his demons!
'The crop is good because of God's grace; or the crop is bad because of God's will.'
No matter what happens, there is always a reason for it that reaffirms the faith.
You are trying to squeeze orange juice from an apple. It's not that apple juice is bad, you're just looking for something else.
But He loves you. Despite the evil, wicked, sinful nature of the people of this world, God still loved us. He loved us enough to die to take the penalty for our sins.
If there were no tragedies, we could not know joy. If there were no pain, we could not know happiness. God gave us free will, and we use and abuse it.
"You are trying to squeeze orange juice from an apple." I am totally going to use that phrase every chance I get.
I imagine in times of tragedy family members of the victims will find solace in a god if they believe in them, there is little harm in that.
God loves each and every one of us, but love is not real if is imposed.
So God, in his infinite wisdom, gave us free will to voluntarily love him back with our actions.
Some people like that Corean guy that made the mess, they donīt know that,
and they wonīt get the grace of nirvana after death.
Only God is a fair judge, we human beings have small brains, on which justice is but a vague perception, so we canīt judge other people for their actions, only each of us know what is good or bad to ourselves.
People like that will probably get another chance in another life though, or not, I canīt tell you that, only God.
Besides all this, I can honestly say Iīm not a religious person, I am against all forms of cults or religious groups. Actually Iīm against any movement that makes a distinction between us, we are all humans you know, we are all the same, from a Somalian Kid, to the president of the UN, they are the same, in different circumstances.
"We are all the same and one together" I say loudly, treat others as you would treat yourself, and that my friends, is the love Iīm talking about.
Donīt do good to people that are good to you, do good SPECIALLY to people that are bad to you, and that is the way of the true salvation. it is the only way to fight Evil, with love.
You canīt fight Evil with Evil, that is just President Bush talking.
I mean, do good to everybody!! thats what Iīm saying, specially to those who treat you wrong, as hard as it sounds.
I preach this things, but I confess I have a hard time in daily practice, it is difficult, but I believe is the only way to a greater good.
Now, I think you have a good point, because I too think that everybody comes with specific set of genes that are different between one another, is like: eye colors, body figure, hormones, intensity of emotions, whatever, we are superficially different, that is a fact.
However, by the universal law of duality, everything has a counterpart (ying/yang, day/night, good/evil, man/women, I can keep going...).
So, if there is matter, there is also anti-matter; we normally call the anti-matter of each human being by different names: spirit, soul, life, aeon, etc.
So knowing we have a soul (life energy), the unification of all anti-matter is what we call God.
The soul is what we may call "trapped" in our bodies, and our bodies are different, as you previously said, but is the soul that survives, and its destiny is determined by the actions of our Earthly bodies (Karma).
So when we say, that we are the same in the eyes of God, it is because we come from the same energy (life), and we actually have an equal soul as others.
But it is our actions and words tha
Shalom
But you can use this temporary concience to take control of your soul, otherwise, it looses its identity and vanishes.
This post is about: "How does God fit in the Evilness of the World", and I say this is a very good question that needs elaboration.
But Love is not imposed, is voluntary, so we have free will, to love God (creation itself) voluntarily.
Love is life, love is creation, hate is flesh, hate is destruction. So if we choose hate and destruction over love and unification we are doomed for destruction.
If humanity choose love, we might have a chance after all.
unless u trying to spell a pussy but still in both cases u speltit wrong!
