aggravated by narrowmindedness and egocentricity
Im icelandic, theyre talking on the news about the massacre in lebanon, hundreds of civilians dead, infrastructure of the country deteriorating, massive fleeing for uncertain future.
And what do the media up here in iceland talk about?
Mostly about what the five icelanders in lebanon are doing on a day to day basis.
"Icelanders missed the bus" was a headline once.
"Icelanders try to get back with norwegians" was then another headline.
As if the only thing worth noticing in this war is how those five icelanders fare.
Is it normal to be aggravated by this infinite narrowmindedness, egocentricity and indifference to the fate of other almost to the point that i wished those icelanders will be the next ones to get killed?

The way I see it, I would begin to worry if they "didn't" speak about your fellow countrymen stuck over there. And it's not just you. Americans, Australians, British, etc etc..They are all stuck in the middle of that crap, and I think it's good each country's media reminds us of that fact.

I think that there's no point in covering stupid problems like that, compared to the fact that lots of people died. So, yes, I would think the same in ur situation so, it is normal.

as a cynic yes it is perfectly normal for you to get reeaallly aggravated by the incompetene and dullness of your area however i live in a country which the title is usually some murder has been commited/suspect on trial/suspect jailed for twenty five years
