it really wasnt the poor things fault, it happens in the wild so its probly just instinct. you are lucky my girlfriend wasnt there, she probly would have killed you. of corse the poor fish is not as lucky as she would have saved it.

When I buy fish at the market I always buy live fish, and beat it to death with a hammer once I'm home, this way I know its fresh.

Many moons ago, I knew this girl who had fish. We were still friends at that time and one day she told me and my family that she "accidentally" killed her fish. Apparently, she persuaded her parents into letting her wash the tank. This is where my memory gets foggy, she had either put her fish into an extra bowl to wash the tank or it was after she had washed the tank. Anyway, she put the fish in something and left for awhile. She came back after a few hours to check on them and they were dead. She put them in extremely hot water and murdered them. She said this with little to know remorse like it was on big joke to her, but she "insisted" that it was a accident. She was a spoiled brat and about a month later she had gotten a new one. Guess what? The cycle repeated itself and she murdered them again by putting them in boiling hot water despite her saying that she had tested the water,etc. I don't know what I thought then, but looking back she did show signs of being "psychotic".

You say that you were high when this happened? Then what you did sort of makes sense... Be happy that you aren't like that girl and that you can actually feel remorse.

Ok, I think u were just overreacting... Or over, overreacting. I had a black angelfish and it killed some of my other fish and yes, I considered flushing it alive, but that fish lived for 8 whole years, i think of it now as a dark angel. But I loved that fish.
