Am I overreacting?
My boyfriend of 6 months says he loves me but I don't believe him. He flakes out on our dates every week or at least tries to. For example, I had a friend's birthday party to go to, he said he would go but called a few hours before the party and said he couldn’t make it because he was tired from work. This is his excuse every time: he's tired. I know he's at home, it's not like he's cheating on me or going out with the boys. He calls me during the week, but it feels like obligation and I turn into that girl waiting by the phone and get upset when he does not return phone calls, like tonight. I'm getting very frustrated and feel like a whiner, but I don't see how we can build a relationship on seeing each other a couple of times a week. One of those times I have to either cry or get angry before he agrees to go out.

well first, what does he do at work? if it is actually something that requires energy then maybe he truthfully is tired and doesnt have that urge to go out. On the other hand, you said he is constantly doing this... maybe he is either shy of your friends.. bored of your friends.. or maybe he simply he's a player. It all depends what it is you guys do together and how much he flakes but you should know whats going on..hope it works out
