This will set the world back 50 years, with all the consequent poverty, starvation and general misery associated with it. Just like 1929 crisis, the financial turmoil has been initiated in America but it has a world wide impact.

Since the banking disaster started recently in America, almost 5% of my country's stock exchange value has been wiped off the map. That translates into billions of dollars, probably hundreds of companies and thousands of jobs washed away in a matter of weeks.

Will your bomb or your smug f**ken attitude feed, protect or save these people during these difficult times? I don't f**ken think so. You don't seem to realize that what is happening in America has a world wide negative impact.

well you have a big desert, why not build solar arrays? the israelis are claiming that 12 square kilometers of new style of solar arrays can provide electrical power for 1 million people.

That has been suggested but for some reason the govt isnt interested but we are getting a lot more wind generaters and some towns in the desert are fully run on solar power maybe this new government we have will do some more solar. A lot of new buildings here naow are being made energy efficient. Our prebious govt didnt seem to care about this stuff but the new one seems a bit better

I cannot comment on australia, I've never been there and only know what I see on TV - which is that it is lovely and the people are, by and large, friendly.

I will say that from everything I have heard though, Australia is a more or less closed economy. It doesn't take a lot from other countries but (in the sense that the Average man on the street would understand) it doesn't supply much else either - other than a wonderful tourist destination.

This is not to say that it doesn't contribute to stocks and the global marketplace on a country to country lvl, but ask the average guy what We get from australia and his response would be: "Uhm, that one dead animal guy."

So Australia, much like, say, Canada, isn't really a player in world events.

Well, yes, mistakes have been made. China IS a major world power on the economic front, not Quite up there with the usa so far as global reach, but that will change. Things tend to run in hundred year or so cycles and odds are good that China will be the Next Major World Power within about 70 yrs or so. I don't worry about that, I'll be dead by then.

The USA, I admit, IS going downhill, due mainly by shortsighted politicians (liberals mostly) and ridiculous policies. But for now we are still on top.

Japan and Germany - another couple of mistakes. We should have stomped them flat after WW2 but we foolishly allowed them to prosper. Germany will never again be a Major world player, but Japan is rather neck nd neck with China. It could be that in the end those two destroy one another.

England - Let me tell you something about that godforsaken little island. I lived there for a few yrs and believe me, as bad as you imagine America to be, that rock is 20x worse. No work ethic, no discipline in schools (for those dozen or so kids who attend and don't spend their time vandalizing homes) and no real Life in the population. Great Britian is a country because the United States allows it to be - if not for us they would be eating sourkrout right now and Germany Would be a power - and people like Moi would be lampshades.

Nobody is forcing them to work for american corporations. They choose to, because "a little money" is better than "no money".

You know, I would actually love to do that. Not because I hate America, but because it's always been a dream of mine to live abroad. Or at least travel (but yeah, economy sucks, minimum wage sucks, no money sucks) but there is also one more problem with that. Because I am way behind in my studying, I will make this short. I had a day worth of layover in South Korea (A country we helped) while vacationing in Vietnam around Ho Chi Mihn city (Saigon)

In South Korea, everything is rather modern and nice. THey are the "hub" of trans-pacific flights and are a great place to visit. I cannot comment on North Korea as I have never been there.

The difference between the US helped nations and those we couldn't help are EXTREME and to hell with anyone who states otherwise. Hey Dickhead, I have been to Vietnam. I would consider that a third world country. To prove my point, quoting Penn and Teller, the United States spends more on our lawns taking care of our grass than the gross natural production and economics of Vietnam.

I have seen the tore down houses, the metal roofs. I slept in a building made of what I think is grass. I have seen hand and hand stupoid things like children smoking and corrupt police.
