When i'm in a store i always feel like i'm doing something wrong and i look like an idiot... and when i confront the clerks i feel like i'm making a fool of myself.. just because i feel like i don't know how the interaction should take place...
Exactly what is it your confused about? The average shop isn't like an eastern marketplace where you can barter for items with grain, livestock, and children. Unless you're nonchalantly emptying the boxes of Rice Crispies into your underwear and trying to use the till as a toilet, I don't think there's much of a problem.
Go to a self service checkout that might help Most store people are nice enough although theres one at my local store Id like to punch hes just a prick
I used to have the same problem. I had to train myself to look people in the eye. This is a good step one for all interaction problems. It may feel odd at first but it will help in the long run.
Step two is even harder but it can be done at the same time. Just Stay Clam. Most importantly however don't let embarrassment and/or fear stop you in simple social situations they aren%%u2019t that scary once you face them.
Later you can even apply this principal to all of life, but start small for now.
ur shy, thatz all. train urself to talk to stangers. just start my saying small things, like; "hello, or wutz up!" it will start to work, and then you'll be in deep conversations with strangers before u know it!
I sometimes feel the same, they look at you as if u trying to steal but i just ignore it though, you're a customer the one paying their salaries and whatever you say is right...
i know exactly what you mean like i feel like if i dont buy anything they think i stole something, and i always feel like im acting suspicious when im not even doing anything wrong.
This reminds me of living in Amsterdam. Me and my flatmates would smoke enormous quantities of the strongest weed in the world then someone would have to go to the night shop for munchies. The shop was run by slightly unfriendly turkish guys and I was always on the verge of passing out from paranoia, and disappointed that I couldn't buy 30 bars of snickers at one time because I thought it would be too obvious...
