To be honest, the taste, to me, isn't that bad. If I was in the mood for it (and had money lol), I'd probably go every once in awhile. For me, it just tastes nasty after you repeatedly eat the stuff. So I typically just eat it in stride, maybe once or twice a month is good enough for me.

I like their food alright, but it isn't super special. As such, I rarely go there to eat. Their food does tend to taste more artificial than most other fast food joints, imo.

i think mcdonald's is vile. if you ever want to know how vile it really is, rent out a movie called "supersize me".

I used to work at McDonald's. I couldn't stand the food before, and now knowing how its prepared, it's even worse. I don't understand how people can stomach the smell of the restaurant, let alone the taste of the food.

I'm not sure really if its the smell that gets to me, or the fact that I tie the smell to the overly abusive prick that ran the store (former boss).

I work at KFC/Taco Bell and I love the way it smells. I'm constantly eating at work. Must be McDonald's.

Everything at McDonald's is freezer to fryer, or freezer to grill. Hope that helps.

Hey, at a Wendy's in my town, the Health Department or whoever they may be, gave my Wendy's a 'D' rating..which is quite sad considering they are very lenient on cleanliness of the restaurants they grade. Pretty sad, how they BARELY passed. Let's just say I never eat there; you never know what could be in those burgers lol.

a couple of weeks ago we all saw how american law was made vis-a-vis the bailout package and it was NOT pretty. I'd have liked to put a stamp of condemnation on that process or at least given it as low a mark as the wendys in your town got.

Canadian mcdonalds tastes alot different than the us. One time I bought mcdonalds while travelling to erie and I got a grey burger dripping in juice.

It pretty much repulses me, and none of there food is REAL food. It's all grossly over-processed,loaded with fillers, processed again... and I don't even want to think about where they get their "meat." Poor animals.

Plus, of course, it's terrible for you. Truly, there is nothing healthy there. I don't care if they have salads; it's all iceberg crap and sugary dressing or ranch.

I only eat there when I absolutely have to because, hey, I'm not rich. I won't turn up a free/cheap bite to eat if I'm really hungry. Since I have no money. But I would NEVER eat their meat products. Just... ugh. Just wouldn't.

I love mcdoanalds but i hardly eat the hamburgers they are not that good but i understand sometimes i go through times when i eat health food for dieting and its good but once i eat mcdoanalds its not the same immedetly its just to junky its like eating health food after eating junk 4 the longest time lol

Food today mostly are mass produced industrial products. Bakers and chefs have been replaced by chemists and marketing people.

I remember in grade school the buzzword then was AUTOMATION. Recalling a film we saw of food being manufactured - cakes were being made mechanically.

First they got extruded from a large cylindrical tube. Then they went along a conveyor belt and got sliced, shaped, pressed together then finally brushed with icing. Another gadget pressed a little colored icing flower on top of each one before they gently slid into a nice white box with a cellophane window....

Even at that age something didn't seem right to me!

My mother and grandma made everything from scratch in the kitchen. THAT'S REAL FOOD!

McDonalds IS nasty. I'm in my late 20's and I remember back in the 90's and late 80's there food was SO MUCH BETTER. A Big Mac was truely a Big Mac back then, but the other posters are right. They have slipped so much from there peak back then as far as food quality goes, its no wonder a lot of folks don't go there anymore. I'd rather go to Wendy's, Hardees, Burger King, Taco Bell, Quiznos, etc. any day. The only thing I really like from McDonalds is there milkshakes but thats it.

I find Mcdonalds repulsive. Yuck. Not even their ice cream is ok. I mean you're right not even flies will touch the sh*t because it has so many growth hormones in it and preservatives. I do notice one thing that now at days there aren't many flies around our picnic tables. Its because of franken foods basically. This is an interesting topic and I'm 50/50 on it.

For starters I am now vegetarian and coeliac, so I don't eat burgers, but I used to eat them as a child, back when it still came in white paper bags and foam cups, so it's hard to hate something that you grew up with have some sort of sentimental feelings about, but I think that's their plan to suck you in as a kid and get you hooked for life.

I don't think Mcdonalds is an ethical company, destroying forests to graze their cattle, killing god knows how many cows, selling foods full of sugar, preservatives, artificial colours and flavours and trans fats, and aiming them at children with their 'crappy meals'.

Not to mention that here in Australia at least, the burger patties are grey and dripping in fat, and it's gross to think that the burgers are made from bits of lots of different cows all mushed together.

Having said that, if I was physically and morally able to live on their food then I probably would. It's a whole lot cheaper and more convenient than healthy food.

McDonald's is gross, I love a good burger, McDonald's is not a good burger. Might have something to do with the fact the first time I had fast food was when I was 15, my parents are health nuts.

Ok I must say I love Mcdonalds and I have since I was a little kid and I don't care if that makes me a "typical" American. I love my country and it doesn't bother me a bit to be called an American. You can bash a person all you want but if you bash them for their native land then that kind of makes you an idiot because nobody can help where they were born, HELLO!!!

McDonald's isn't that bad and the food is certainly not repulsive. Admittedly, I liked it more in my younger years, but it is certainly not disgusting; however, if you do think it is disgusting, it is no more disgusting than any other fast food restaurant.
As to the question: "are you normal", I suppose. It is quite trendy to ridicule large corporations, and among the biggest is McDonald's. Of course, your stance and attitude are boring and uninspired.

I remember years ago when they first brought it to the UK... Seeing that freaky clown character with the horrible red wig on the adverts was enough to put me right off! I am not usually scared of clowns, but that one freaked me out completely! Where I live there is no McDonalds or any of those sorts of places anyway, but I did try it once in Ireland. The bread was sort of sweet... more like cake! The burger inside was rather grey and I couldn't eat it as they had put all the garbage on it that I asked them not to put on it, so it just went in the nearest bin! I wouldn't have been surprised if the bin had spat it out to be honest.

I like the taste but I try not to think about whats in my food. Dont wanna know. I like the southern chicken sandwich and the fries are the best. I did get food poisoning from the fish sandwich one time.

Fast food burgers aren't really even hamburgers, they're in a class of their own, a different kind of sandwich altogether.
To answer the question, I find it very nice and greasy when I'm very hungry, but a lot of the time it's disgusting and garbage-like.

Part of it may have to do with the fact that I'm a pretty healthy eater, but even the smell of McDonald's is enough to make my stomach queasy. Even their healthier fare is still unappetizing (their grilled chicken tastes like rubber) and is cooked around a sticky, grease-laden environment.

When I was ten years old, I ate three big macs each time I went there, which was probably a few times a week. Often, I could only eat two and half. This was after my relationship with KFC. After that, it was pizza, then subway. I always asked for ten times the normal amount of mayonnaise when I had KFC and a ton of chipotle sauce (a bit mayo-like) every time I ate a sub. Perhaps twenty or thirty years from now, I'll be having heart attacks and strokes from every direction and suffer from lots of brain damage instead of being an influential scientist. The idea has already been shattered anyway, but I'm sure my horrible childhood eating made the chances even more scarce.
