So this week I was invited to grill some steaks, have some drinks, and get to know a man better over the weekend. He has his own business (that's where it happened, as I'm a regular there), takes great interest in what I do and strives to please me every time I come in.
Sounds perfect, huh? Except I'm completely out of his league. Not only that, but we're not even playing the same sport. He's probably 4'8", weighs 250 pounds, has a tiny head, and he speaks with a noticeable lisp. He also sort of drools a little bit. In other words, he literally looks like a troll.
I don't know what it is about me that attracts this kind of fellas, but there is something. It's been happening since my early teens. I gather it's because I'm much too nice and will talk to just about anyone. And smile, making no distinctions, be it the multimillionaire who owns the business or the cleaning lady inside the ladies' room.
Any other theory? Does it happen to anyone else? Do you feel offended or flattered?

I could have totally misinterpreted the story but you sound like you're hiding behind a facadé. If you don't like someone there's no need to be an ass, but there's no need to put on a kind show either.
Just get to know him, and see whether you like him or not. You don't have to sleep with him, but at least give him a chance. See how it goes. Its kinda good to have a little experience with different types, because then its easier to narrow down what you're really searching for.
