You are okay right where you are. Do you feel comfortable where youare? Why not ask your Mum or someone that you trust what they think. Not one of your school chms either because they will tell you wrong.
The average weight for a 14 year old is 9 stone 6. It depends mostly on your height if you're around 5'5 then 9'6 is the average. If you're shorter the weight goes down :D Hope that helped

It depends completely on your height and body structure. You could be big boned or petite. I am 14, 9 stone and a size 8. Most of my friends are 8-10 stone and sizes 8-12.
If your happy the way you are then it shouldn't matter what dress size you are or how much you weigh. Also, bmi's mean nothing. The machine doesn't know how much muscle you have or how much fat. And since muscle ways MORE than fat, they aren't very accurate. Most people don't need to lose weight, they just need to tone up by doing more excercise. You'll look slimmer without having to lose any weight at all :) I weigh 10 stone and I'm a size 10 and I'm 5 foot 4. But i don't look fat. I'm happy the size I am. Also all the people who have been calling you fat and stuff just need to grow up. Don't take anything they say to heart :) I hope this helped a little. x
You should be confident in yourself and that's all that matters. If you are worried you can work out your BMI (body mass index) on the bbc website. =)

It is in the teenage years that bone mass is laid down which will see you through to a healthy old age. If you are overweight you just need to make sure you exercise and eat healthily.

BMI is rubbish. It is a scale that not everyone can adhere to. as somebody already said, it does not take into account muscle tone. Also, when i was 17, my BMI on a doctors height/weight chart was in the green zone albeit the low end. My height and weight have not really changed much - I've gained about a stone since then - and oddly i'm now below the coloured area and technically underweight. Weird since I haven't changed! I think the charts are an average across the population so you can use them to see where you are on those scales in comarison to other people your height and weight but it does not mean you are right or wrong. I have a friend who thinks she is enormous because she is a size 16/18 but since she's 6foot 2, it's not exactly surprising. she is fit and healthy. I'm 26, 5'7 1/2 and 8 and a half stone. I have trouble putting on weight and went through a lot of bullying at school from people who thought I was too skinny. I am a slender build and so is my mum and her brother and my grandparents. I know I am the right weight for my build. I am healthy and exercise (sometimes...). This is my maintainance weight. At your age I think I was 7st and 5'5" but my friends varied between 4'9 and 5st up to 5'9 and 10st with all kinds of variation in between. My point is, don't mess with your body while youre still growing. find what you think is right for you as a maintainance weight as in what you are if you eat normal amounts of healthy food and continue with a normal exercise pattern for you. if you re losing or gaining rapidly then something needs looking at. the key is to find your weight and be happy with it. if you think you are a little overweight now, remember that you are probably due to get taller in the next couple of years and you will need protein and calcium and all the other components of a healthy diet to grow without causing yourself problems in later life. if you fad diet now, you could end up with all kinds of deficiencies when your body starts using things to grow. any weight you think you have extra now, you will probably grow into but from what you say, it doesn't sound like you are overweight at all. Just keep eating healthily, ignore the crap spouted out by the magasines and listen to the sensible part of your brain not the worried teenager part! also, if you tend to agonise over the number on the scales, give yourself a break. if you worry over every pound youre gona end up in a state. give yourself an acceptable variable range so if you want to be ?st then allow yourself to be so many pounds under and over within the day. it takes the stress out of it esp considering you know its gona change through the day! take care!
To be honest, I think you're being really stupid thinking you're fat! Seriously, look around the streets at some REALLY fat people who are like a uk dress size 20! Now that's fat! Tbh, a uk dress size 6 is too thin I think! Unless you're small. I think for you're size a good size would be an 8. Also about 7.5 stone to 8 stone would be a lush weight! My friend's 14, and she's like a size 12 and she's only 5ft 5ins! So count your self lucky!
Ok. I think it depends on your height and sometimes it's your bones that carry the weight, it's not because your fat, it may be because you have heavy bones. I'm 14 and i'm a size 10 and weigh 9 stone. But I'm quite tall and i know i have heavy bones. Don't worry about it, as long as you are happy with your body then keep it that way, don't go changing it cos other people are skinnier than you.

Tbh, a uk dress size 6 is too thin I think! Unless you're small. I think for you're size a good size would be an 8. Also about 7.5 stone to 8 stone would be a lush weight!
