Basement Flooding :(

Is it normal for your basement to flood everytime there's a bad storm? We got our drain tile replaced this spring, and the cracks in our foundation were filled. But we got a tropical storm over the weekend, and the basement is full of water again. So frustrating. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks.

Give up and...
Throw some floaties down there and call it a pool.
Put some metal plates and some acid in to power the house.
Put some nutrients in and start a hydro operation.
Get a pet alligator.
Install a bilge pump.

Or give in and call a contractor...again.

I live on the east coast and whenever we get a strong storm, the basement will leak. You could throw towels or sponges in the areas where it usually leaks. Don't put them near appliances or it may cause some flammable issues. Other than that, I don't think it's possible to fix the problem permanently.

Good Luck!
