A bum at a corner selling newspapers just asked me if he could borrow my credit card to get something to eat. When I told him that I didn't have anything, he got upset. Is It Normal?

Ive given all the money to the Salvation Army and the bums with their hands out I'm going to for quite a while. I swear some of these bums are making more damn money panhandling then i make working.

Not normal. In bum circles, the more professional ones never ask for credit cards-- cash only, so there's no paper trail.

Once in front of a 99 cents store, me and my girlfriend were leaving and some bum in a power wheelchair started following us, mumbling jibberish. We ignored him and he started cussing us out! My girlfriend turned around and said FUCK YOU TOO! lol

Ehh, its normal for him to get upset because he has probably asked so many people.
But the chances of him getting a credit card from someone is very UNLIKELY. Unless the person's IQ is very very low.

I watched a program about this very thing, it was called "caught on tape" Heres this guy in Las Vegas Nevada Panhandling for a 8 hour day at quitting time he slips back on a side street where he parked his Range Rover and drives away.

They pulled this guy over, and he had over a thousand dollars he had panhandled in a single day, Now I would say that is some pretty damn good wages,wouldn't you?

No they watched this guy all day, and he did nothing but panhandle from vehicles. Now that is not to say that some of that money found on him, he didn't have in his possession before the fact.

I'm glad they didn't attack you. I've been yell at by them but never physically attacked. I try to be nice to them so they won't get upset. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

NOBODY should ever try to ask you for your credit card. Even if you had one you should never give it to ANYONE. It's a dangerous person if they want your credit card....to random of a question really.

No! Chris is right. I live enar a major city here and whenever I go downtown they are always lookign like they're all down and that they make it look liek they need YOUR money to fucking survive. I almost have no sypathy fro them because they can go out and find jobs, make money and get the proper care they need (Most of them). So I never throw any change/money at the them because I know it is a scam liek Chris said so that they can use the money for booze or drugs (which is usually the case). Like I said, I have no sypathy for them at all.

Stop randomly calling Chris a bum out of spite just because you dislike him. If anyone's a bum on this site it is you because you are probably some olf hag who lives in the Welsh Mountains.

EXCUSE ME! What difference does the size of ones habitat have to do with the size of ones brain? It is a matter of fact that Americans have smaaler than average brains. Is that why you try to bring size into everything? Size is totally irelivant. Vatican City is the smallest in the world but it is also the richest so where does size fit into that?

Thats because the church has ripped people off for thousands of years. I doubt you have the same homeless problems we do. I doubt you understand the level of scum that walks our streets wearing camo pants with a sighn saying "vet needs help, merry christmass" because they know that a "vet" might stand to make a little bit more money when in reality they are not a vet just a drunk.

I'm a fucking vetran nearly and I dont give a flying shit. They have benifits that include full medical and dental if they choose to use it but they would rather sleep in the woods and drink all day. ITs all a scam whether you believe it or not and most of the guys who say they are vets arnt they just use it to get more money for booz. No bums in this country die of hunger trust me!

They just want you to feel sorry for them and give them money which no doubt they spend on drugs or alcohol, If you really felt that bad i'd buy them a bag of chips then you know you've given them something and if they turned their nose up at that they're not really that desperate, plus I think you're a kind person if you felt concerned about it too. :)

Most of bums are mental retards that have been abandoned by society, just give them the cold shoulder because karma does not exist, I once gave a bum $4 for a meal, he even asked me for more... I said no, I already wasted $4 on that bum, I should have kicked him instead of being a Good Samaritan, I was so young so stupid, I had money back then.
