Can you see air if your looking?

About 2 years ago I discovered that if I were to look at the nothingness,(not looking directly at anything) or what I call air, I see little particles floating around everywhere. And another thing that I would say is strange is when I was in elementry school I could look at the floor in the bathroom, (the kind with all the little tiles) and see horizontal and vertical lines everywhere. Even as an adult I can see the lines on the floor, but mostly in bathrooms. By the way I have 20/20 vision. Is this just weird or has any one expience either one of these?
Do you think it's normal?

You have vitreous floater - I've had them since I was 4 (I'm 16 now) and I got seriously depressed about them a few years back as I have an unusually bad case of floaters (but I've got over it now).Is this similar to what you see?:

They are mostly caused by either the shrinkage of the vitreous humour (mostly due to aging) or a knock to the head. If you look up at the sky on a claer day, you will most likely see some.
Read the wikipedia page on floaters for more information:

Fantastic, that is what I see. Thanks for the info.
yeah i have the same problem too. But i didn't get seriously depressed. I remember having them as long as I can remember.
I always see them when I wake up in the morning; I just assumed I was crazy. I didn't know it was an actual thing.
You can see them on the school bus, when the sun use to hit my eyes.
I say the lota use a werid i say.
Lets all wack each other off we are cured! OMG I'm so happy I know what the hell is wrong with me now! OMG!
are you trying to be funny or are you just THIS retarded?! You're such a waste to this site....
The old adage of learning something new every day holds true. I also have this and never knew there was a term for it, never mind that it was so well documented.

Thanks.
