I think about it a lot. What it'd feel like. What it is. I've had bloody terrifying dreams about it. I'm facinated. Not too bothered with being normal, but..normal? :P
Death is the one thing in life we try to avoid instinctively, having dreams about it is your mind considering ways it should avoid death more or less. EG. A terrifying dream about getting run over by a train may make you more cautious at the platform so less likely to die. :D
Death is the end, it's peaceful but absolutely nothing, like before you were born. obviously the process of dying may be painfull/ unbearable or so quick your not even aware of any pain.
Humans have always been fascinated about death. It is normal to ask questions like: What happens after death? How might it feel? Can one live forever? If not physically, then in some other form?
So universal is this that virtually all religions prey on such natural curiosity, offering different 'answers' to the obvious questions, sometimes presenting scary scenarios, other times encouraging false hopes.
Thank you for the great reply. I'm personally of the opinion that the self dies. That dead is dead. All those sensations, memories, ideas, gone. Even so, it's impossible to know what it's really like until it happens and that's what makes it so facinating. I'm not in a hurry though...

Thanks for the comment. I do think it was my mind telling me how to avoid it.
