2 Are we afraid of our neighbor?

I am not a US citizens and I get the feeling that indeed you are scared of being attacked, you have the feeling that the whole world hates you, you love violence and the media is greatly to blame for this.

However I'm giving a general view. From the outside this is the image that you project (through your films, documentaries etc... However I don't live there so I don't know.

That's media right there, never trust media above an actual experience.

Not everyone in America has guns, what you think is America is actually the percentage in the south mid-west. Texas, Tennessee, etc.

In fact from how I see it, most people get guns just to say they have one. What's more impressive than saying 'don't worry I have a gun.'I mean chances are you're not going to even pick it up unless you actually live in a dangerous neighborhood.

2. No
3. Owning a firearm doesnt make you violent.
4. Yes the media has their own agenda to try and take away our rights which is bullshit. Alot of the turns and information they spew out is bullshit.

I own a rifle and the majority of my friends in my social circle either own a gun or shoot them recreationally. We get together, go to the desert and shoot for sport. We enjoy the sport of shooting as much as archers enjoy archery, drag racers enjoy racing and so on. All are deadly sports, but when done responsibly, carry a low risk.

We are not so much upset because we are afraid of being attacked. We are upset because there are people out there who want to restrict us, take away our rights and label us as crazy, overly patriotic assholes who crave blood because a handful of assholes do use guns (most of which are obtained illegally on their part) to fulfill their violent fantasies. Then they turn around and say losing our rights is a small price to pay to keep the community safe, and while a lot of us agree with background checks and the like, we don't agree that being marginalized and so restricted in what we can own will keep criminals from getting a hold of firearms.

My point is, many gun activists are going after the wrong people. It's not us legal handlers who you need to be worried about, it's the people who don't give a shit about the law. The fact that we are lumped in with these fuckers doesn't make us any more understanding of the cause. Ownership of firearms is a right. We shouldn't have a justify a constitutional right any more than gays should have to justify wanting equal civil rights.

Everyone loves guns. They go pow and blow stuff up and you feel powerful. It's like go-karts. They whizz around all over the place and nobody even cares about the spelling issue that they're carts not karts. Because they make you feel good. And we should always have more of what makes us feel good and damn the nay-sayers. Anything that makes you feel good should be allowed.

As long as there's an amendment about it, of course. Amendments imply that mistakes can't be made and that nothing needs amending.

The bigger the gap between rich and poor the more crime and violence we have. That's why places like Sweden or Norway, where the gap is small, have a lower crime rate than us.

Well alright everyone loves violence. This goes for every single culture existing now and in the history of man. Why do you think MMA is so popular? Why do you think rugby/US football is so popular? Why do you think everyone loves those violent zombie killing games?

I think most people who want weapons like this want it for Defense or for hunting. Why people still hunt I don't understand.

Unless you have no shops to buy food at you should not need to hunt. Its just pointless animal violence. Also simply because people are allowed guns I dont think all will own them. I think most people in general are going to be afraid to own one. Guns are dangerous and all people should understand this.

So killing and butchering an animal in a slaughterhouse, packaging, and selling it in stores is better than hunting wild game how? Just curious.

We mass produce a lot of meat in factories already. A lot of this food is left on the market shelf too long and ends up rotting anyways. So in what way is adding unnecessary hunting a good idea?

What do you like hurting animals? Do you secretly kill animal them for pleasure? You know what other type of people did this sort of thing? Ted bundy. Are you another Ted Bundy? Maybe you should get your head checked.

Now please give me your case on why unnecessary deaths are needed. Why this type of mindset should be encouraged. Why we should be free to all slaughter one another since we thought it was fun. In what way is that productive? Its pointless and its wasteful.

I guess if someone started killing all your friends and family you would just shrug it off right? Yeah pointless killing should be allowed and encouraged. Not like the deaths mean anything to anyone else right?

For food.

If you are killing an animal for food and that is the only possible way you can get food its not wrong to kill it. If you are killing for sport its pretty fucked up.

If you have ever never held a weapon, you will probably not understand their appeal. The cold steel that can end a life in a heartbeat has some magnetic property that is very irresistible.
Taking the life of another person is not something to be undertaken lightly, and using one in anger or fear, can alter the lives of many people forever, including the shooter's.
But what irks me to no end is how everybody keeps saying how Americans are such violent people.
Serb and Croats, Muslims and Christians, Africans of almost every nation are all so much more violent than any American that has ever lived! Genocide such as seen over the past 30 years, world wide, has not happened in the US since the slaughter of the Indians and no one from that era is alive today. A few school shootings and gang related crimes is no comparison to the wholesale murder of so many in Syria, Africa in general, Afghanistan and so many other places around the world, that happens on a daily basis.
There may be plenty of reasons for the world to hate Americans (or at least the policies of it's government) but to call us a violent culture is absolutely ridiculous. There are no child soldiers running around with AK47's killing hundreds every day, indiscriminately, in the USA!

It is funny how you're comparing the USA to war-torn countries and cultures, instead of with other stable countries like Canada, Japan, Norway, Sweden, etc..

And just what were these "war-torn countries" before these "wars"? Peaceful nations just like those you mentioned, until one group or another decided to slaughter others, for whatever reason.
Genocide is not "war", it is the wholesale slaughter of human beings for no other reason than hatred.

GUNS DON'T KILL PEOPLE

THEY JUST MAKE IT EASIER FOR PEOPLE TO KILL PEOPLE.

I have a gun permit. And I keep a sawed off shot gun under my bed. In case someone tries to rob us. You need it with the crime rate on the rise.

I blame the media blamers.

No, you love guns too little.

Americans love to blast targets with their weapons. The damage is orgasmicly pleasurable. Sexual insecurities simply melt away. Wish I lived in the USA.
