I love my cat loads but i don't want to marry it

It's normal to really love your pet. But you should have human friends too.

i loooooooove my kitty babies they are the reason i dont hang myself...daily...im going through a painful painful divorce but i know everyday how much my cats love me and i adore and need them..so its okay i know how you feel and i think your marriage statement was metaphoical right

To love your cat at that level is perfectly normal. I can see you are more comfortable with living with someone that you have more control over and someone who wouldn't break your heart but never seek to violate your cat.

and it's also perfectly normal to be able to live with her until she dies.

If you love your cat like a best friend or a child that is fine. If you want to have sex with your cat it is wrong.

my former cat was my soul-mate (not in a romantic way, mind you), but i was SOOOO broken up when he died. i was crying uncontrollably for days (people at work though i was either dying or had a serious drug problem)

i'm going to get a tattoo of him on my back. i have a new cat now, but he's nothing like the old cat. i mean, i love this cat and all, but still..... i felt worse when he died than when my mom died (and i loved my mom very much but, i think it's because my mom had cancer, and she knew what was coming. she was ok with it.)

I loveee my cats. Sometimes i think maybe too much but i can't help it! When i'm older i want to have a cat then, (why being a cat lady is bad i'll never know why if you have human friends it's cool right?!)literally the thought of loosing one brings me to tears thinking about it. I think it's normal to love your cat because they don't do anything wrong do they? they don't tell you you look fat or ugly. and they don't break your heart. I think it's perfectly normal. Marrying it. Maybe not. But whatever floats your boat.

i love cats to. i have little kittens at my house and they just make me melt with their sweet little eyes. however they are outdoor cats and very shy.

As long as you don't have sex with him/her. Animals can't really consent so that would be unethical. Besides, it is possible to get sicknesses/diseases--even anaphylaxis--from that, even if the kitty could consent.

Otherwise, normal. It might be fun to have a "commitment ceremony" to your kitty!

i think it's normal to be very attached to your pet, but wantin to marry it could be considered a wee bit strange

Just tonight, this crossed my mind for the first time and I proposed to my cat! I have a female cat too but I know she's not that interested in my boy, so she wouldn't be jealous. I tell them both how much I love them ALL THE TIME and reckon he's the PERFECT partner - except that he's a cat and I'm not ... but I don't see why a 'mixed species' partnership shouldn't be accepted.
By the way, he accepted - or just ignored me - not sure.
