Are You Normal?

Does anyone else do this?

I'm obsessed with dreaming. Every morning I wake up to read what my dreams mean. I've thought about them so much that while I'm in a dream sometimes, I'll realize that I'm dreaming. It used to be "Holy sh*t! I'm dreaming!" and I'd forget a few seconds later. Now it's "Hey, I'm dreaming again" and I'll start controlling things in it. I've flown many times, and once I made a time machine appear because I wanted to see what would happen in the future (It didn't work because it was more like an ATM with no door...). Another time I seduced someone. Heh. I've gotten into analyzing them, and when you're dreaming, things are often more hazy and your thoughts are really loud and isolated. There's sort of a "Mute" button on, but with your thoughts going so to speak. Anyway, I'm thinking that not a lot of people do this, but it's normal to do.
Do you think it's normal?

That's insanely cool that you can control dreams. That's almost like... a whole other universe you have control over. I'm not obsessed with dreams, but sometimes I love going to bed just to dream. I can control a dream in a sense that I'm like 30% awake in reality and am almost subconciously thinking about something and I can change things. It starts to feel like a dream that I can control. Geez that didn't even make sense. But all in all, you're pretty lucky lol
Some people can definitely control what happens in their dreams, but not always effectively. I can do it. It's more of an awareness that you're dreaming and then a will to make something happen or not happen. I lost a cat a couple years ago and for a year or so afterwards I had dreams about finding her and in my dreams I knew I was dreaming but it was beautiful that I didn't want it to end, so I'd drag it out so that I could have more time with my lost kitty :(
This is absolutely normal. It's called "lucid dreaming" when you control your dreams. It takes some people a lot of time to develop the skill. Once you do, it's lots of fun cuz you can do things you never could in real life.
Aw! :(
That is really beautiful. I remember I'd always have a dream the night after I lost a pet. I wish I would have been able to do that.
really? so how do you control your dreams?
you mean you actually can choose what you wanna dream of?
Yeah, not before I start dreaming, but while I'm dreaming is when I decide. It's easier to provoke a lucid dream when you think about it a lot before you fall asleep. It's a crazy thing, but things just kind of appear if you think about them with that intent.

Haha! Yeah, it is like another world when you dream. Sometimes it feels so real, it might as well be a more-blurry alternate life. Anyone can do it though, and I highly recommend people try it.
