I wouldn't feel bad about it at all. There's no reason to fear you'd get an infection. Just don't talk about it openly, and don't expect a guy to have such a large and tireless tongue.
A normal guy may not want to eat you after you've been filled from sexual activity with someone, but I expect fido would love it.
Broaching the subject with your partner could be a double edged sword. I would try to feel him out on the subject first before admitting it and letting him watch. Ideally, you want a partner who supports you in this, but there's no sense in running a current partner off over it. Of course, if you're bold, you could allow it to happen and guage his response. The risk is him spreading the word and people talking trash about you.
health wise yeah you could definitely pick up some bacteria but it would not be that much worse than human mouths,... I heard that dog's mouths are grosser than human ones :o
