i used to have this problem.. and sometimes still do... is it because people want to know more about you than you're willing to share? or are you afraid that they're going to want too much about you? its the only way people try to get closer to you. :) personally my past is too dark to share with people and when people try to get too close i tend to drive them away..

which is why i am lucky enough to have the best BF in the world and lets me open up on my own terms. :):):).. i verrrryy slowly am, but at least im opening up.. :)

It sounds like you have some issues with relationships. It sounds like maybe your scared to get close to someone for too long because you are afraid they are going to hurt you. I have the same issues and it is tough to deal with. but honey, if you are missing a lot by not allowing your self to get close to other people. friends are great not only for support, but to teach us as important lessons about life as well. so as much as it makes you uneasy, you have to start stepping out of your comfort zone more and more and allow yourself the joy of getting close to another person.

I have a simalar problem but with me it's not about time. I just end up pushing people away, even if I know them forever. I just can't hold a bond. Why do you think you drive people away? Maybe you just have not found people who are right for you. Or as "lilmanatank" says maybe someone hurt you. What happened. Why. You must ask yourself inside.
