My friend took prescription painkillers while pregnant and her baby girl was born 5 pounds at term. The child is still very small at 3 years old and has numerous health problems. I am about to have a baby myself in a few weeks and had an accident that left me in terrible pain but I refused all painkillers. My friend, this same friend, told me I was being stupid and that her baby was "just fine" which it wasn't. I finally lost it and told her off. I feel what she did to that child was selfish and wrong and that it amounted to child abuse. Am I being unfair?
no wonder there are so many retards being born, if you eat only shitty mcdonalds and take oxycontin the baby is going to be a retard
it's ok to do oxycontin but not while your pregnant you dummie
However if she was in pain why hasn't she visited a medical centre?
there is a phenomenon known as munchausen syndrome by proxy where a parent will create fake illness in her children. these people enjoy caring for the supposedly sick child.
in this case, the child actually has medical problems, but these were created and are exacerbated by her mother. maybe this is a case of ms by proxy taking it one step further?
I am positive your baby will be SO much healthier than hers.
It is better for her to be investigated and come out as being assessed as OK and no danger to her child, rather than not assessed and in danger.
The potential impact of poorly managed diabetes (particuarly in a child) is profound and could affect her for the rest of her life. Could you live with this on your conscious knowing that you had not done anything to help your friend and her child?
It could be advantageous to your friend for you to call them, to enable her to get any help that she needs.
There are clearly a lot of idiots who have not read your post clearly or do not take it seriously.
Good luck with your own baby - i hope you are enjoying parenthood! :o)
someones baby is dying because of them, and your over there acting like its the funniest thing you've ever heard. i hop you have a baby the same way, you fucked up homo.
Call child services on this woman. It sounds like she might have Munchhausen's syndrome. Google that and see if it sounds like your friend. Good luck and don't let this lady ruin the child any further.
you can take painkillers for your pain. just in moderation. ask your doctor about the proper amount to take while pregnant.
cheers!
im not sure about the other conditions but it sounds bad, call social services on that bitch
