Good on you for asking. It's more common than you might think. The fanbase tends to be more male than female at the moment, but my hunch is that there are quite a few female fans too, whether they've yet to speak up or to develop their interest. Building muscle is a fantastic way to combat fat instead of dieting into nothingness - that's what some women are finding. The fandom is growing, thanks to the internet which allows fans to find each other.
