Hi,
ok, i only have one friend now as my other friend had moved. The only friend i had last year had moved to another school this year so i am alone. Then, i have decided to make new friends as i really hate to be alone. and i did make new friends. Eventually, i have realized that we have not much in common. she likes science, maths, doesnt watch a lot of movies, dosent listen to music besides the classics. the thing is i am the total opposite, i love music, a day without music is like crap to me, and i love drawing, arts subject basically. last week, she told me she is changing school, and i was like SCORE!awesome, that means i get to make new friends next year.. by the way, she told me yesterday that she doesnt want to leave because she is having fun here, and i felt sad because i was hoping she would.. I do regret for hanging out with her because i am bored being her friend, she talks about stuff that i dont find interesting at all.... and of course, i do wanna make new friends... there's this group of people who i wanna be friends with, however my friend used to hang out with them so it would be really awkward if i ditch my friend and hang out with that group... Is it normal to feel happy when your friend tells you she is changing school? Please help me, how can i tell my friend she is boring me and that i want to hang out in a different group?
people are different, and just because she may not enjoy all the same things you do does not make her "boring". To other people, she might be interesting.
she was your friend when you didn't have any, and I think you should be grateful for that.
Try to talk to her about things that interest both of you. You must share some common ground.
If you still find yourself "bored", just try to spend a bit less time together. don't do anything cruel.
as for the group that you want to be a part of, you can't force things like friendship. Say hi to them in classes and see what they're like. They may not be all that great.
I'm sure that you will get lonely again and start to miss her if she went to another school.
