Ok, What you really gotta ask yourself, not if its normal, but if its SAFE. If one of those teachers starts to make you uncomfortable, dont totally freak out, but slowly move away from the situation, And if one of those teachers gets too out of hand, tell another teacher you trust.

Liking your teachers is one thing ... but saying you're "incredibly close" and "best friends" sounds creepy to me! You should not be associating with your teachers outside of school.

It's fine. My high school chemistry teacher was also the coach for Science Olympiad as well as a member of my church congregation. With that much contact, I guess we could be called friends. Same with the CS and Assistant Marching Band instructor (that was one person). I've found that it happens more as you get more advanced in school and are treated more like an equal. In college, it would be easier for me to be friends with my profs if I felt like hanging out after class to talk about mutual interests. You are just getting old enough to have stuff in common, and you spend a lot of time with these people. It's actually beneficial to learn to relate to other adults, and if you ever need a job recomendation, those teachers are likely to be good candidates to write one.

no, it's not normal. it would be unethical for them to truly be your friend, considering the difference in age and status - a person who has the power to give you a good or bad grade, college recommendations, etc. cannot be your friend. and as for you, you really need to find some people your own age to relate to.

I have plenty of friends and they are all different ages! Most are my age. The teachers in my school aren't really like normal teachers. They are more like the older students.

I think it depends on what you mean. My Engineering Drafting teacher when I was in tech school was the best friend I had then. Like another father. We met for breakfast before. I helped him move. I hit on his daughter until he wanted to kill me. His wife got me a job. Ahh, those were the days. Now that I'm out of school, we smoke weed together lol

I'm best friends with a teacher. They're more mature and interesting.

its not normal. its just not. these teachers are hired to grade you and to teach you, not to inform you in gossip and to talk about the opposite sex with. you are one of those pathetic individuals i call the 'teacher's pet' and you suck. i'd also bet that these teachers are either just being nice/polite or are looking for more than friendship with you two. there has been many incidents where a teacher has molested a student.
just be careful, i suppose. its not as bad as some habits that people form.

Some teacher at my old school got a bit 'friendly' with a 15 year old boy. He now lives in jail where he gets botted everyday.
