I am really scared of ghosts. I cant sleep with the light off and I always feel unsafe in my house. Is this normal?

Me too, I used to but not right now. I think you should have some one to sit next to you. one who would make you laugh and put that beautiful smile on your face.....the second option is have tv next to you or radio so you would forget about anything........... (((It may work)))
Ghost are not physical they can not harm you in any way but scare you I seen so many ghost it doen't bother me anymore I just grin when I get a glimps of one.
Use a ouija board and they will go away. They like to watch you through the mirrors to. Put tinfoil over your mirrors, and maybe your head too, on weekdays.
if it really is that bad, u shud read a funny book before bed or somthin...

Don't listen to most of the comments. Ghosts can harm you... but have they? If they haven't harmed you or messed with you and you REALLY think your house is haunted, then I would suggest having a priest come out and bless your house. And if you think you need to talk to people about what you've seen and heard... talk to a counselor. It should help.... and if the ghosts have not bothered you then you have nothing to worry about. They're just like us. They just are like... invisible most of the time. They're people too. Its like being scared of a guy born with 3 legs. They're normal and a lot of people experience them.
I have the same problem.. i wish i could help it. i find myself staying up in bed scared.. watching tv until the sun comes up then going to bed.. bad i know.. but i really cannot help it.
i fear them terribly 2 i try 2 say who has ever been killed by a ghost them it hits me where are the millions of ppl who go missing and r never found wat if im next
Pretty normal.I used to have this fear till I was around...14ish.Though I still get creeped out by horror movies,Im pretty much over the general fear.
My grandma was a gypsy. She told me that if I see a ghost the best thing to do is not even let them know that you see them. The next thing is to open a Bible and start reading. This was really her reply. I don't think that having to sleep with the lights on is normal. I think you are living a very stressful life and need to think about how to manage whatever kind of lifestyle you have. See your doctor about the effects of whatever drugs you may be taking has on your nerves. Believe it or not, alcohol can have a negative effect on your nerves too.
Ghosts, souls, goblins, Santa clause do not exist. There isn't anything to be scared of, so stop it. Seriously these things do not exist. Religion has put a lot of fear in your mind; non-belief is the way to go. Gain power back over your life and be rational. Believing in invisible people is ridiculous, seriously. Movies are fantasy nothing more.
I have the same exact problem :( my grandma fell and died in my house and has been seen by friends and I have her room and it scares the shit out of me. I can't help it. sometimes when I'm sleeping I hear someone breathing over me but am too scared to open my eyes. nevertheless, I've never been injured and apparently you haven't either, so I think you'll be okay :)
It's normal. Everyone gets paranoid about things. Ghosts are something that we don't understand, and some people are very afraid of them because of this. It's normal. =]
After doing dramamine, I had trouble sleeping in the dark. I just knew that someone bad was in my house, I knew that if I closed my eyes someone would chop my head off, etc. This also sometimes happens for a few days after some serious toking.
No, it is not normal. It is a kind of phobia. And a phobia is just an irrational fear that takes some specific pretext to express itself.
You must be a very stressful and over sensitive person. Try to begin calming down in general, and then to use some phobia-fading techniques.
