Whenever I stand up fast, I get terrible headrushes, everything goes black for a few seconds- and Both my hands go completely numb for around 15 seconds. Occasionally my mouth will go numb too, the pins & needles feeling. Also, I get a squeeling noise in my head, while everything is black- but I don't lose consciousness. It is a high pitched sound, like the ringing in your ears after a loud concert.
I have blacked out a few times while this has happened.
Does anyone know what this is? or is it just a bad headrush? Maybe low blood sugar or something??
Please get better!
Personally I find it good fun! I remember collapsing after one serious case, tingley all over!!
Lovely.
See a damn doctor!
It's more common on teenagers, especially girls, but can re-occur in later life.
It's very common, in varying degrees, both me and my sister have had it.
Your best bet is to look it up online for more advice, but there's really not much you can do about it, just stand up slowly in future. It isnt going to lead to anything else, either, unless you faint and hit something.
You're gonna be fine, but yeah, look it up and good luck with it.
