I'm the same way as you. My IQ (tested at a Uni) is 132 and I dropped out of school at 16 and got my GED at 18. I hated hated HATED high school. Not only was it hell, but the curriculum was so boring and mechanical and except for in math, I could almost out-teach the teacher at ever turn that I couldn't stand another minute of it.

Maybe it's because I'm lazy, maybe it's because I'd rather like a challenge every once in a while, either way, I say go for it. Besides, just think of all those credits you have to make up

I can understand - it can be hard when you are a couple years older than your class in high school. So you may want to consider GED. Your call - what's important is that you are not dumping on yourself & want to carry on with your ed. Good on you - especially despite this set back.

I bombed in high school too. But deans list under grad & grad school. Not everyone follows the same path.

To whoever asked "why didn't they hold you back'"
Umm... Its high school. They don't hold you back. If you fail, its your fault.
It will probably cost a lot to make up all those credits.

no ged means you were too lazy, cracked out of it, or pregnant to finish high school. They say its the same... but colleges and jobs look at them as a sign of laziness, and the inability to complete a job. For some people that's all they can do, but unless you are borderline retarted you should get a diploma.

Just do it, do all your work, go to all your classes, show your teachers that you want to learn, and are working fairly hard, and they will pass you. extra credit helped me graduate big time!

My district doesn't hold students back until senior year, and like I said I was having problems at home and I was barely at school once a week.
