Instinct- its a build in survival behavior.
It started from small cells reproducing asexually, and there was probably a freak cell that absorbed another cell's DNA to make a new being with a higher survival rate since it was not an exact clone like the others. Sex is bascally a way to share dna to produce offspring that can adapt and have the upper hand in survival.

I actually disagree with you corbin and agree with sisophous. I don't really believe that suicidal people have a lot of sex. And secondly you know plenty of suicidal people? How? are you on top of a roof with people lining up to jump off? Come on!

Fantainfinite I also know someone who is suicidal who has sex all the time. So corbin isnt the only one. I do agree its healthy to have a sex drive but some people don't, so why does that matter,not everyone is the same.

No, I've just known a lot of suicidal people. I think all of my friends and most of my family have been suicidal at some point in time. And I would say that about 3/4 had a regular sex life.

WTF are you talking about Jess? I just said I know a lot of suicidal people. I'm certainly not having sex with them. I'm just saying that I know they have sex, or at least they tell me they do. I have no reason to not believe them. Sex, or lack thereof, doesn't seem to have anything to do with suicidal urges. If I did a poll of all the suicidal people, I would bet that most of them have sex. I'm not sure what you read in my post, but you certainly misinterpreted it.

I've always assumed that just about everyone has been suicidal at some point in their life (even if they don't admit it). If not, then I think they're pretty deluded. I think it's only human to question your own reality and whether or not it's worth living. I can count eight of my friends that have either tried to commit, or talked about committing suidice in the last year or two (I don't have many friends though). My brother is in the hospital right now for slashing his arms all up. Yes, I know, some of it is just for attention, but I think deep down, we all have a curiosity of what death brings (probably non-existence). Regardless, this thread wasn't supposed to be about suicide, it was supposed to be about how humans figured out to have sex. I was just countering sisophous' post with that point about suicide.

So what exactly is this problem that I have, and how did you come to the conclusion that I do indeed have this problem? Shouldn't people be allowed to 'hang' with whoever they want, and whoever they feel most comfortable? How do I 'get real' exactly?
