I have the Habit of speaking Very fast. This tends to send me skipping words and sentances, this is because i think faster then i can talk, i think of the next word im going to say before i got the last word out.
and then continue speaking without saying the word i "skipped." Sometimes this creates me saying half of words. instead of saying: "this Gatorade tastes pretty good" i would happen to say "this Gato-tastes pretty good"

does anyone know what this is called and how i can start speaking clearly?
Do you think it's normal?

i'm not sure there's a name for it, but I know someone who's the same. if you want to get your point across clearly, take a deep breath before you speak, think about what you're goin to say prior to saying it and conciously slow yourself downwhile you're talking. after a while, it'll probably come naturally.
i will sometimes have the same problem with this when i am hyper, just calm down, slow your thinking, and think what you are going to say before you say it.
if your a female there is no cure. if your a maleular variety, you should be severely ashamed of yourself
im the same way. high five.
Just concentrate on slowing down. If that doesn't work, maybe look for speech therapy
Man...its not studdering...when you studder its repeating the first vowel of the world and not being able to shape the words out of your mouth.
Therefore its not being able to speak at all.
Hey, I do the same thing ever time I talk. I think it's funny with me b/c I do almost everything fast like I talk. I am a incredible fast runner and drummer. I also tend to think something, see something, or hear something and start talking directly from my thoughts without telling the outside world what I was thinking.

I went through lots of years of speech therapy and nothing's changed. It only helps some people.

I have a question do you have trouble making connections with other people because of the way you talk?
Oh god. I have the exact same thing.

(in my head: Shall i say windy or cold? Shall I say windy or cold?)
"It's very coldy today isn't it?"

It's very embarassing. Especially when talking to girls.
You can also use it to your advantage. I mean, your a fast thinker thn! That's good. Sometimes I'm lost for words when I'm up on stage and nothing comes to mind. But you should still try and just say every word you want nice and cleary. Not too clearly, but you know.
Sing songs or read poetry out loud. See. Spoken words & sentences have a rhythm & musicality that is pleasant to the listener.

Vomiting and spewing verbiage is lazy, inconsiderate and annoying. That has nothing to do with being a "fast thinker."
This is totally normal. I do it to.
I am a very fast talker, too. And sometimes people struggle to understand what i have said (why i hate speaking to people - my voice is horrible, to me anyway, aswell) But just try and slow it down a bit, think about it for while before you say it, it really helps, I have had class talks before, and have started off really really fast, but then I made myself slow down, and it worked.
