I am constantly worried about another world war

I have always had this insane fear of another world war, I always think the worst whenever I see something on the news. Like for instance the troubles in Georgia a year ago or something like that, I feared the US and Russia would get in under the skin of each others. It's not so much that as it is the fear of nuclear war between two super powers, when the trouble in Georgia occured I thought to myself the US and Russia would go into a war, the US and the EU would push Russia into a corner and Russia stubborn as they are would launch nukes in a desperate attempt to survive.

These thoughts doesn't interfere with my everyday life but when I see it on the news I always get these crazy imaginations and get scared of what will happen, is this normal?
