i am scared of going to the toilet

okay so I have this fear of going to the toilet by myself.
I have to sit with the door open and i like to have something near me that I can protect myself with.
or take somebody with me if that is possible (usually my sister or poor boyfriend)

I feel so vunrable when I am on the toilet, and if I am the house on my own, I will actually consider peeing in a bottle so I don't need to go.

I guess you could say I am quite a paranoid person in general, but my fear of the toilet by far the worst, and I think it is extending slowly towards from just the toilet to showering when I am in the house on my own...

does anybody else have this or something similar?

p.s this site is amazing, it is exactly what I have been searching for haha!

Me. But I don't pee in a bottle, and I'm not afraid of toilets. But I need to open my door :D Don't worry, it's normal.

Im scared of going to the bathroom because i always tend to think theres someone watching, like, in the floor vent or something, i usually cover up the vent with the bath mat tho lol

what exactly is it about the toilet/bathroom that scares you? i used to be scared that a snake would come out of the toilet and bite me while i was sitting on it, so i'd always flush before i went.

i used to be like after watching the first Halloween movie when i was about 8 yrs old. i was like this for years but eventually i got over.

I wouldn't say your paranoia about these things is normal. You sound like these things bother you and hinder you from freely using the toilet and now maybe the shower.

You need to tell someone about these unwarranted fears. Start with your family doctor. Good luck.
