Are You Normal?

I am stoked about old age...

I'm twenty-three and have done a lot of traveling and working over the years along with attending school. I've already seen a lot in my lifetime and met some incredibly wise older women who I now consider mentors and role models (my own mother was extremely insecure her own age). I'm enjoying my twenties, but I am so thrilled about the possibility of getting older and growing grey. I am native, but I have yet to grow into "beauty"...I see older women with white hair and dark skin who wear boyish outfits like corduroy and plaid--they have amazing taste without even trying...they live in exotic places like the high deserts of New Mexico and paint or work as therapists or writers...
...Perhaps I'm romancing the life of a sixty year old, but I cannot wait to live this way...am I normal?
Do you think it's normal?

Better than normal - that is beautiful.

I gather this deep respect and appreciation of age and elders has roots in part in your native heritage and outlook.

A lot of people on this site could learn from your post.
