I become obsessed with knowing information about people, is it normal?

I'm a girl and there's this girl at my school that I am obsessed with. It's not in a sexual way or anything, but I want to be her friend so badly that I've become obsessed over that. Everyday in school I have to stare at her and what she does or my day wont be complete. I'm not friends with her, but I always have my ways to know everything about her even tough she's never talked to me. I think about her and me being friends like most of the day and just thinking of her makes me happy for some reason. I am not lesbian, I like my men, but even tough I kind of 'stalk' her.. It's really weird. Do I have some kind of OCD or problem, or is it just a stage in life?
Ps. I check her Facebook 24/7 to see if she updates stuff. Wow, I'm creepy.

I had the same exact feeling for some girl in my yoga class. She suffered from some kind of bone marrow disease that made her look like an anorexic person. I used to stare at her and wish that I could just chill and blaze with her. I think that its an attraction caused by that feeling of wanting something that you don't possess(as in the realtionship that you don't have with her.)
