I can not just sit and listen to music. it either has to be in the background as im doing homework or on the computer, or i have to be moving. As in, in the car or on a bus. Also, i can spend up to about an hour and a half listening to music WHILE PACING around in a circle in my room. is this normal/ does anyone else do this?
Do you think it's normal?

I don't know if it's normal or not, but I'm EXACTLY the same way. I go for long walks with my mp3 player and that's my favorite way to listen to music, but if I'm in my room I have to pace around, or just like you I have to be in a car or playing it as backround music when I'm doing something else. When I was a kid I could just lie on my bed, but I haven't been able to do that since I was around eleven. I also prefer it to be dark, so if it's nighttime I turn the lights off. I can't believe someone else is the same way, I wonder what it's about.
Maybe you are a very nervy and anxious person?
Healey, i go for walks solely to listen to music too! And yeah, it may have to do with nervousness stress or anxiety, because i have ocd and a lot of times ill pace to quell stress
YES. I'm the SAME WAY. I ALWAYS pace back and froth while listening to music. My family thinks I'm weird, but honestly i can't help it. And yes, driving in the car i'm satisfied but when I stop at a stop light i get really annoyed!! Trust me, you're def not alone.
